Sunday Youth Ministry

Sunday Youth Ministry

This year, we will be having in person Sunday lessons and activities on the patio immediately following Holy Communion. After communion, all of our youth can meet on the patio weekly to sign-in and we will commence our outdoor stories, activities, and lessons for the day. Our theme for the Fall is “The Saints and Living a Christian Life.” We will begin all together with a story or quote about different saints and then break into our general age level groups (Pre-K through 2nd, 3rd through 6th, and 7th through 12th) for other fun lessons and activities. The 7th – 12th grades will have their own discussion group and all lessons and activities will end by 11:30AM.

We will also be continuing our childcare and Bible activities for children ages 2 years old through Kindergarten. You may drop off your child at Room 2 beginning at 9:30AM. Please know that if your child is not potty trained, a parent must also be present. For more information, please talk to Melissa Sopp.

It is very important to mention that all of our wonderful classes and activities that our teachers provide surround the Divine Liturgy. The liturgy itself is a means of communicating and meeting Christ and is itself, by its very nature, catechetical “i.e. teaching”. We learn about God and ourselves through participation in the liturgy and come to know Him through our receiving of Holy Communion. Our activities are seen as a supplement to this life-giving gift.

Online Option

We recognize that some of our families are not comfortable being in person currently. We as a church want to be present for all of our youth. Because of this, we will also be meeting once monthly via Zoom for “Activity Time” curated by our own Sunday School instructors followed by a middle school/high school Zoom hangout. These youth activities are open to ALL youth, whether or not they are attending any other. Stay tuned for specific dates and times.

If you have any questions on our Youth Ministries programs please contact John at john.j.strzelecki@gmail.com or call the church office.  All youth are invited to join us on Sundays after Holy Communion!
